Best 3D TVs

best 3d tvsEver since their introduction into the market, 3D HDTVs have been all the rage, transforming homes into smaller versions of movie theatres and delivering a viewing experience unlike any other. Today, all the top HDTV companies have 3D panels in the higher end of their rosters. Many of these are 3D-ready while a few are emerging as Full 3D sets. Most of them can convert 2D content to 3D, too. Some models, particularly the flagship ones, come with 3D glasses included, some of which are equipped with Bluetooth technology, while for others, the glasses need to be purchased separately.

In general, today’s 3D sets offer good performance, although the problem of crosstalk has yet to be eliminated entirely. There is also the fact that viewing angles and contrast get diminished in 3D mode, but work is currently under way to correct this and in the meantime, should not be a major concern. After all, 3D television has yet a long way to go.

At the very least, 3D TVs provide a platform for viewing recently released 3D movies right in the home and some select 3D television shows. They also provide amazing 2D content and often come with a bunch of innovative and helpful features. While 3D panels currently cost an arm and a leg, HDTV big spenders are sure to find lots of thrills and perks come with going the extra dimension.
