JVC (Victor Company of Japan) is an award-winning manufacturer of electronic products. It introduced the first television in Japan, and developed the VHS video recorder and hard-drive camcorders. Today, the company is a leading maker of video and audio products: televisions, audio and home theater systems, handheld and professional camcorders. The company continues its tradition of innovation in HDTVs with its Teledock system that allows iPod docking and its super slim line of LCDs. JVC currently manufactures LCD and LCoS televisions (while there are still JVC plasma TVs in the market, the company has not released a plasma product since 2005).
Equipped with the high-speed 120Hz Clear Motion Drive III technology that gives smoother, more detailed pictures using motion interpolation and detection, the Procision line is the premium LCD line-up of JVC. Available in 42, 47, and 52 inch models, these HDTVs boast of accurate and superb image quality, full 1080p HD resolution, multi-connectivity and sleek, thin bezel chassis. The super-slim line, which measures 1.5-2.9 inches thick, is also part of the Procision series and available in 42-inch and 46-inch versions.
Other lines in the JVC arsenal are the JVC X Series and the Teledock series which were released early 2008. The X series are full 1080p HD resolution TVs with Flicker Free High Resolution Picture and Digital 5 Point Color Management, for high-quality color processing and rendering. The Teledock series, on the other hand is basically the X series fitted with the iPod dock and with an added iPod mode. The Teledock line allows hassle-free docking of an iPod with a flip-down dock at the TV’s base. The integrated docking system automatically detects when an iPod is docked and displays a menu for the user, to play music or videos in the iPod. The Ipod can be controlled using the TVs remote control.
