Samsung HDTV

samsung hdtvIt seems every HDTV maker now plays catch-up with market leader Samsung, which is dominating both the plasma and LCD markets with top-selling models in the high-end, mid-range and low-cost niches. Samsung is also a consistent awardee in technological advancements and innovations, which is the reason why its product lines are very popular in the consumer electronics industry.

Samsung’s Touch of Color (ToC) series of plasmas and LCDs offer some of the deepest black levels and very accurate color rendering in HDTVs. Highlighted by the amber-colored frame that departs from the traditional black/grey/metallic bezels, Samsung used dual-injection technology (formerly used exclusively in premium cars) to achieve the unique two-tone color.

The high-end LCDs aren’t just great in the looks department, as Samsung filled these with its most recent LCD innovations: Ultra Clear Panel and Wide Color Enhancer 2 for exceptional picture clarity, Auto Motion Plus 120Hz for smooth and blur-free motions, multiple connectivity including the proprietary InfoLink and WiseLink technologies. The highly-rated LN52A650 LCD TV (from the Series 6 line) and LN40A750 (Series 7) are two of the premium Samsung ToC HDTVs.

The Samsung plasmas are equally exceptional. For instance, the 63-inch ToC plasma PN63A760T1F is filled with top-of-the-line features: full 1080p HD resolution, Ultra FilterBright anti-glare screen and an amazing 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The proprietary technologies for advanced contour distortion reduction and motion ensure superb and clear colors and smooth motions for the plasmas that are available from 42-inch to the enormous 63-inch screen sizes.

Samsung also caters to the lower end of the market by offering scaled down versions of its high-end products. Thus, consumers can expect highly innovative products even at the lower end of the spectrum, with some models only lacking some features of their more expensive siblings, at much more competitive prices.
