The 2009 Panasonic TC-G10 series offers the best picture quality of all plasma HDTVs that have been released this year. The exceptional quality of its picture is made possible by the THX mode feature that has been incorporate into the series. This feature improves colour accuracy, shadow detail, and numerous other picture characteristics without requiring the user to make a lot of adjustments
Its VieraCast feature provides access to some Internet services such as YouTube videos, photos stored on a Picasa account, stocks and headlines courtesy of Bloomberg, and local weather. An Ethernet port on the back of the TV enables connection to the Internet.
The series has four screen sizes: the 54-inch TC-54G10 which sells for $2,399, the 50-inch TC-P50G10 for $1,999, the 46-inch TC-P46G10 for $1,699, and the 42-inch TC-P42G10 for $1,299. The three smaller screen sizes are already on the market while the 54-inch model will ship in May. All cost significantly higher than those with lower picture quality but this is always the case with HDTVs.
All models of the TC-G10 series feature a thin frame around the screen and are available in glossy black with the series’ signature silver accent lying alongside the silver strip at the bottom. They also have hidden speakers and a circular stand.
